Feed a Child Charity - racist commercial?

Hey Everyone

So I stumbled on this video commercial that has caused a lot of outrage.
Watch the video below and share your thought.

  1. Personally, I feel this is advertising gone wrong. It is supposed to be a simple video prompting people about the 'feed a child' campaign. Look how complicated it turned out.
Unfortunately the core message of this commercial is lost. The message was to draw attention to the extremely important issue of malnutrition and raise awareness of the plight of many children in Africa who go to bed hungry.
Some group of advertisers actually brainstormed together and decided to put this ad out.
So wrong. This is a child and not a dog.

  4. Is this an acurate representation of the mind set of elitist charity givers? Are dark skinned people being positioned in a condescending way to appeal to the target audience(globalist elitist class) sentiments? Does this positioning encourage the target audience to spend their dollars and pounds on this project? Questions to ponder. The advertizers do seem like they are expoliting the sentiments of the western elitist class to solicit patronage. In that case are they only doing their work and therefore oblivious to any moral code? Who is to blame, advertizer or patron?
