Happy Father's Day...AGAIN

Father's Day is a wonderful time to honor the fathers and father figures in our lives. Whether they are the men we call dad, fathers-in-law, husbands, grandfathers, sons, or brothers, we look up to each of them in our own special way.

Sometimes though, it does get a bit confusing
...well, sort of like Mother's Day.  Most countries celebrate it on the third sunday in June, though it is also celebrated widely on other days by many other countries. Father's Day Celebration seems to have started in the USA in the early 20th century, as a reply to Mother's Day.  The 1st Father's Day celebration was on 19th june 1910, celebrated in Spokane YMCA was however, by an American woman, Sonora Smart Dodd, whose father William Jackson Smart was a single parent and who had raised his six children.

  My dad passed more than a decade ago, for all those who still have theirs, this is an opportunity to shower them with lots of love. Take some time to appreciate all the cherished moments you've spent together as we celebrate this day.
