The pregnancy urge to clean.

I can't stand an untidy and dirty environment. I have an obsession for cleaning and it got worse while I was pregnant and this "temporary insanity" is call The Nesting Instinct

Many pregnant folks experience this nesting instinct. Some may describe it as an irresistible urge to prepare the home for the baby by obsessively cleaning and decorating every square inch of space in sight...just kidding.

On a more serious note, I observed that it peaks in the third trimester as the birth of the baby draws near, you may find yourself cleaning cupboards or washing walls — things you never would have imagined doing in your ninth month of pregnancy! On the positive side, this desire to prepare your home can be useful because it will give you more time to recover and nurture your baby after the birth. But be careful not to overdo it.

Safety of your child while on the road.

What not to say to a pregnant woman.

Sometimes these questions are innocently asked but they can be annoying to some pregnant women.

Below are some I can remember:

Are you gaining enough weight?
While many of the most clueless comments come from people subtly judging you for packing on pregnancy pounds, the naturally slender are not immune. You may think you’re paying a mama-to-be a compliment when you say, “You’re so small” or “I can barely see your belly!” but you may only be stoking her with worries about the growth of her baby.

Healthy Eating Habits For Your Child.

Of course you want good nutrition for your children. And you know that means making sure they're eating a balanced, healthy diet. But when you get nutrition advice from other parents, your pediatrician, and the media, it can be tough to decide which direction to follow.

What lessons have you learnt from a child?

Children possess brilliance in their simplicity. They may not know much about the world, but in some ways this is their biggest strength. Growing up greatly expands our views of the world, but there are some basic and healthy values that we can forget with age. Here are a few of them…

Light weight lifting can help new moms build muscle and burn away lingering unwanted baby fat.

The first few months after having a child can be the most rewarding of your life. Well, that could be until you find the time to look in the mirror. But just because your body changes after pregnancy doesn’t mean you can’t get in the best shape of your life. Often times we think, how do we ever get back to that size again.

Happy Father's Day...AGAIN

Father's Day is a wonderful time to honor the fathers and father figures in our lives. Whether they are the men we call dad, fathers-in-law, husbands, grandfathers, sons, or brothers, we look up to each of them in our own special way.

Sometimes though, it does get a bit confusing
